When I first saw this press release, I got very excited that an Angry Birds cartoon was coming to Nick. Sadly, for this Bad Piggy-popping addict, I was wrong. However, the animated treat Nick is airing tonight will tell us how those squawking Angry Birds end up in space for, well, Angry Birds Space, the next installment of the hit game series. It begins on a day much like any other, but suddenly a cosmic vortex appears and brings visitors from another galaxy with some unfriendly intentions. This means the heroic birds have to slingshot themselves into a new adventure - space.
Watch the animated short on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET during SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon and Power Rangers Samurai on Nicktoons. Leading up to the short film, six brand-new birds will be revealed(!). Following the world premiere, viewers can catch the birds at nick.com/watch.
